June Picnic 2002
	Ever since I started venturing out in daylight enfemme I have had the idea that it would be nice to go on a picnic that way. I had mentioned this to Nicki so when she suggested that we do so at a country park near to where she lived, I jumped at the chance. So on 22nd June 2002 I drove to Nicki's to get ready. I has selected a number of possible outfits with denim being a major feature in all of them.
	As the British summer had decided to play it's usual tricks on us (cool and over cast!) I decided I had to forgo a skirt for this trip. Sensible jeans were the order of the day. I paired them with my black tie at the waist blouse, denim jacket and the beach mules I purchased for Bournemouth as I wanted to show off my nicely painted toe nails. Nicki also opted for jeans, a mauve T-shirt and a denim shirt/jacket. With our picnic all packed, we headed to my car.
	After a ten minute drive we pulled in to the car park of the country park. Gathering our picnic we set off past, the young families and older couples in the cafe, and headed into the woods, looking for a likely picnic spot. We eventually settled for a cleared area at the top of a hill, giving an excellent view across the park. It forms the background to this picture and we ate pretty much where I am standing.
	Behind us were green fields stretching to the distance. There were quite a few people about but no one seemed to take undue notice of us. After a pleasant meal I cajoled Nicki into taking a few pictures of me and the surrounding countryside and then I took a few of her too.
	By this time the weather had turned rather colder so we decided to set off back to the car via a slightly different route. On this route we met a lot more people, passing them at closer distances but again they didn't give us a second glance - just two girlfriends out for a country walk, chatting and laughing together.
	Arriving back at the car, we loaded up and headed back to Nicki's for a cup of tea and a chill out in front of the TV. This allowed us to gather our energy for a night out in London .........
