Spring Glitz 2002 - Part 2

Returning to my room, I removed my makeup, moisturised and then retired to bed for a short rest. Elin dropped by at 4pm to say hi which was useful as I might have over slept if she hadn't! I started getting ready for dinner. As before I wore my red wig and an old favourite outfit - my silver top and matching skirt, paired with the new shoes I had bought that afternoon. It was another buffet meal and again we retired to the bar afterwards for a good chat with the other girls.
Frustratingly, it was clear that there would be no clubbing for me that evening - my shopping trip had been too much for my feet. But lots of girls stayed in so there was plenty of chat and some (carefully limited) dancing. There was also entertainment in the form of a pretty young singer.
Mid-evening I decided to swap the silver skirt and black tights for a PVC skirt and fishnet stockings but I had to resort to my low heeled shoes in order to be able to continue dancing ! JJ and Sue were kind enough to give me a few dancing lessons which helped me gain a little more confidence. However, I wanted to be sure I could still enjoy the rest of my holiday so I retired to bed a little earlier than usual (1:30am).

Next morning I rose at 7:45, determined that I would wear only female clothing this weekend. It was clear that I would have to forgo further shopping if I was to be able to dance again that evening so I selected my outfit for the day with that in mind. I fell back on an old favourite - my burgundy top, pencil skirt, flesh coloured tights and low heeled shoes. Again for day wear I wore the brown wig. Then I went down for breakfast. This time I made sure I had my camera (having forgotten to bring it down the previous day) and Elin was kind enough to take some pics of me in the dining room.
Sue and Jessica After breakfast I went to my room, fetched a novel I had with me, and retired to the bar area. I spent the day either chatting with other girls or reading, all the time resting my feet. There are always a number of stalls in this area during the day selling wigs, makeup, jewellery and shoes so I had a browse around those and had a nice chat with Kay (of Kay's Cosmetics).
I had an enjoyable chat with Rebecca about the various Star Treks and about Enterprise in particular. She really she doesn't like at all whereas I'm still giving it a chance to find it's voice!
I also spotted Emma Louise of Ethical Vision, my laser therapist. She told me that she had arrived very late the previous night (after 1am) which explained why I hadn't seen her before then. As she was in a bit of a hurry I said we'd chat again later.
In the afternoon Elin and Sarah both came down to the bar dressed and we exchanged stories of what we had been up to.

As on the previous day I retired to my room around 3pm but before changing completely decided to try on my purchases from the day before. The coat I knew fitted as I had tried it on in the shop. The blouse was, sadly, too tight. But the swimsuit was a perfect fit - so much so that I couldn't resist taking a picture! Then I removed the makeup and moisturised as before taking to my bed for a short rest. That afternoon it was Simone who visited me, though this time I was already mid way through my makeup when she arrived. She, Tracey and Alison had just arrived to join us for the final nights fun.

For this final night I had been saving a rather special outfit - a full length purple satin evening dress which I bought from Doreen Fashions before Christmas.
As you can see it had a very low back and three little roses at the base of the spine. Underneath I wore the new briefs I had bought and some white ‘suspender tights’ and a black bustier (yes I know I should have match undies!) which I had bought with the dress. The white stiletto sandals and a purple wrap that matched the dress completed the outfit. I was ready early which allowed me to get a special pair of photos taken by Cheryl who is always at these sort of events and has a professional camera and printer rig.
Me and JuliaDinner was waiter service this time which was very welcome as my dress would have made a buffet a bit awkward. After dinner Julia, Amanda and I went up to the lobby and, rather naughtily, sat by the window so that any passersby could see us. There were quite a lot of people doing double takes as they walked by! Then we joined the others in the main bar area for more chatting.
The entertainment this evening was a rather old fashioned drag act and, whilst the natural girls there seemed to enjoy it, most of use found it both boring and embarrassing.

Before the pony tail and dancing shoesSueDuring the preparations for the Easter bonnet competition (which I wasn't interested in entering) I went to my room to change into an outfit better suited to dancing - my blue halter neck dress. Initially I retained the stilettos but later (after the raffle) swapped them for my low heeled black shoes to make dancing easier. Later on I also put my hair in a pony tail to help cool down a bit.
Of course some of the other girls changed outfits too including Sue who wore a stunning chain mail outfit she had made - with real metal chain. I was amazed she could dance so well with such a heavy outfit. During this dancing session I was also able to catch up with Emma Louise once more.

Me and DawnWith about an hour to go I decided there was time for one more change - this time to my little white dress. Since the black shoes didn't match the dress it was back on with the white stilettos! With it being the last night I knew I didn't have to worry so much about my feet so I put a lot of energy into this final session - it was a really great time capped off with some very enjoyable dancing with Jo and Louise who had both returned from their night out clubbing. We danced till the DJ finished. Then after a final chatting session it was time retire to bed at around 3am.
Next day it was time for packing, final good-byes, booking up for the November weekend and the long journey home. Another fabulous Blackpool weekend was over.
