Trans-mission One

Having already been made up since lunchtime for my picnic with Nicki, it should in theory have been easier to get myself ready for the evening out. I removed the lower half of my makeup and re-shaved and moisturised. Then re-applied the makeup and set about boosting my eye makeup to 'night-out' proportions. It was trickier than I expected and, with the need to redo my wig again too, I found I wasn't ready for us to set off till 8pm. This left no time for pic before the off as we had a ninety minute drive ahead of us.
The Trans-mission event had it's debut that evening and that's where we were heading. The venue for the event was in the heart of London, close to the Barbican. Whilst I had a fair idea of where we needed to go and Nicki had a good clear street map too I was glad it was summer because the prolonged daylight allowed us to correct my mistakes more easily ! Yes I managed at least two wrong turns before we finally found the correct road, spotting the club only as we sailed past it into yet another one-way system !

Thanks to BJ for this picFinding our way back, we parked near to the club and approached it, unsure if we were too early at 9:30pm. But no, the girls were already gathering inside so we paid our entrance fee and went to the bar to order a drink. The floor on which we entered was the main bar area, the bar being directly opposite the door with seating and tables ranged around the other walls, and wooden floors throughout. Music formed a background hum but it was low enough to allow reasonable conversation. There were also stairs leading upstairs to the loos and (as I found out afterwards) a chill out room. There was also another stairway leading down to the dance area which we resolved to investigate later.
SerenaAs yet there were only a few other girls present, none of whom I recognised so Nicki and I sat down to await arrivals. We were soon joined by Serena and her TS friend Michelle and we had a good chat with them. Later Patti arrived with wife Justine and a group of Danish TV's who she had been out to dinner with.
Soon afterwards I spotted BJ and Marg arrive but BJ was a bit preoccupied and headed straight upstairs to change - we caught up with each other later for a chat.
In the meantime Kim Angel arrived, accompanied by Laura (who I hadn't seen for a year) and Kim's lovely wife who wore a stunning sequined magenta cat suit. And birthday girl Siobhan had also arrived. Much chatting ensued before Nicki and I decided we really had to have a dance so we headed downstairs.

She dances !??The dance area included a seating area at the end nearest the stairs with a bar at the far end plus loos. As the whole area was wood floored throughout the whole area was effectively available for dancing and, as there weren't many others doing so, Nicki and I decided to hit the floor.
We weren't alone too long I'm pleased to say. The music was great, easily the best I'd heard in a long time. Not to much hard core dance music but every thing had enough of a beat to keep the girls interested. Here I also had a couple of very pleasant surprises.
Firstly Mandy Peters, who I had been mailing for a few months but never met, recognised me and came over to say hello. I'd spotted her earlier (from photos she'd sent I guess) but I just couldn't put a name to the face and was too shy to say introduce myself incase I'd made a mistake. It's always good to meet someone you've mailed for a while so we grabbed a chat as we danced.
Surprise number two was the arrival of Dawn, down from the north with a bunch of friends and on her first night out in London. She and I exchanged tales of our days experiences.
Patti and SerenaPatti and Serena found their way downstairs to and we took the opportunity to take a few pictures (though sadly Nicki and I seemed to have problems not blinking that night) and chatted further. After and hour or so dancing we needed to cool down a bit so headed back upstairs for a cooling drink (non-alcoholic for me as usual) and a chat with some of the others.
Whilst we were downstairs the girls from the Boudoir had arrived Jodie accompanied by (amongst others) familiar faces Mandy and Nicola. We swapped tales as usual and commented on how nice the club was.
I also finally managed a brief chat with BJ (and she kindly snapped a pic of me) before Nicki and I decided we had to be heading for home.

The drive home was rather less eventful than the journey there but I was glad we left when we did as I was pretty tired by the time we arrived at Nicki's, cleaned off the makeup etc. and turned in for the night. I'd brought my sleeping bag along so I didn't have to drive home too.
Reflecting on a very pleasant day I resolved that if possible I would attend future Trans Mission events. The fact that the clientele were 80% TV/TS, a much higher ratio than usual clubbing nights, had been a very pleasant change and meant we had a very relaxed atmosphere and, as I said before, I just loved the music !!
