Tinsel And Glitter 2003

As Nicki was watching the pennies, I found myself heading to the year end event in Blackpool alone this time. It did seem strange to be away from Nicki for a weekend but at least I knew there would be a number of my friends there. As usual I arrived quite late on the Thursday so there was just time to settle in and get myself ready for the evening.
I decided to wear my white suit and it did attract quite a few compliments from other girls. I was particularly please as I did have some concerns about how my hair looked, this being my first time at Blackpool sans wig.
Suze and JJSuze and JJI was very pleased to meet up with JJ and Suze as well as Amanda and Julie, and Dawn and Rebecca.
The Thursday night entertainment was of a non-professional nature and frankly I was rather glad when it made way for the disco. But with a full weekend ahead I retired quite early (midnight).

Next morning and I was up early to prepare myself for my first daytime trip without my wig. In the weeks preceding this trip I had been getting very worked up about this but in the event on that day I found I was quite calm about the prospect. At Nicki's suggestion I wore my most sensible of shoes and my ankle length wool coat (much appreciated in the brisk November winds), plus black trousers and pale blue long sleeved top, and set off for a walk along the prom and into Blackpool town.
How glad I was I didn't have to worry about losing a wig that day ! I was pleased to find the experience was no different to my previous trips to Blackpool with no-one seemingly giving me a second glance. Once in the shops, I was welcomed into any changing room I fancied and even found myself in a communal one - thankfully alone at least at first. But, as I was in one corner trying on an dress (luckily over my trousers) a girl came in and made her way to the other corner and started to remove her top. Averting my eyes, I quickly removed the dress without drawing undue attention to myself and got out of there as fast as I could !
Back at the hotel I swapped the trousers for a black mini skirt and the sensible shoes for my high heeled knee boots and headed to the restaurant area to see who was about. I met up with Elin and Cheryl and had a chat with both. And the girls from Hayway Shoes had also arrived.

Dawn and Rebecca Friday night I opted for an old favourite so on went my blue tie-dyed dress. The entertainment that night was a talented female singer. And of course the usual dancing was on offer which I very much enjoyed.

Saturday followed a similar pattern to Friday as I continued my search for a new outfit. Although I did pick up a few nice tops, the evening dress I was really looking for eluded me. That afternoon I got talking to Kay (who runs Kay's cosmetics) and a GG friend of hers. More about her later ....

Luckily I did have another old favourite with me, one I hadn't worn previously without the wig. So it was that I wore my green ball gown down to dinner that evening. Before hand, I got Cheryl to do one of her portraits for me. Then, realising I was really late, rushed down to dinner to find that all my friends were already seated. But as luck would have it Mike (who would be changing later to become Gina but hadn't had time as yet) had a table for two so I joined him for the meal and we had a really nice time as he is a real sweetie and knows how to talk to a lady. After dinner we went upstairs and enjoyed the cabaret, a male singer with two pretty dancers who wore outfits to die for!
After a short dance in my ballgown (well I had to didn't I ?) and the drawing of the raffle, I popped up to my room and changed into my very short black and gold lace dress (seen New Years 2002 for a pic) so that I could really dance the night away.

It was a little later when something rather unusual happened. Kay's friend had already complemented me on both of my dresses that evening and I noticed that she had popped to the loo with another TV and exchanged dresses with her. Suddenly she tapped me on the shoulder and said 'It's your turn now!'. Well I was so embarrassed but found myself cajoled into the swap!
So there we were, three of us in one toilet cubicle. Off come the dresses and - oh my - she has no underwear on at all. I found myself looking everywhere but in her direction whilst trying to get the dress on at the same time . Wish I'd had my camera handy to show you the dress but I'd felt so guilty pestering people to take pics the night before I had left it in my room. So instead I'll try and describe it.
The dress was skin tight, black stretch material, slit to the waist but with lacing down the front plus two similar laced slits at the front along each leg. Thank heavens I was (as usual) fully tucked as this outfit left nothing to the imagination. There was no way I could wear a bra with it but again I was fortunate because I was only wearing my small breast enhancers and the dress itself was tight enough to keep them in place. Meanwhile she had put on my dress (and very fetching I thought she looked too) so we returned to the main hall where we showed off our new look and had a bit of a dance.
All too soon it was time to change outfits once more, and then after a little more dancing it was off to bed. I wanted to be away early next day so I could spend as much of Sunday with Nicki as I could. But what a fun event!
