A Trip to the Sales

This year because we planned New Year's day with Nicki's Mum there wasn't an opportunity for a girl's night out to see in the New Year. So instead on 29th December we planned a visit to the Sales in Milton Keynes. After last time out I was convinced that putting my hair up was a good idea but this time I opted for a less dramatic and looser pony tail, the sort of style you see lots of girls wearing these days. I thought it would look especially nice with a roll neck jumper.
Once again I decided to wear my brown jacket and matching boots, this time paired with some boot leg black trousers. Naturally I couldn't resist imposing on Nicki to take a few pictures of me! You can see some more of them by clicking here. Once we had a good selection of snaps it was time to head to Milton Keynes.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a relatively cheap parking spot within easy reach of the shopping centre. Then we hit the shops, hunting through the post Christmas sale items. Our main target for the day was boots but whereas Nicki was successful my purchases were rather different.
My first was a chocolate brown three quarter length trench coat which we found in Next. I saw it first and it fitted me perfectly. Nicki also tried it on and liked it too so we figured we could share it. We had great fun looking around in Next (probably spent forty minutes in there) and Nicki told me that at one point she completely lost track of me because the hair-up look and jacket combination blended in so well with the other girls there. After Next we popped into John Lewis restaurant for a sandwich and a cuppa. As you'd expect it was very busy but we managed to find a table and had a well deserved rest.
After lunch we continued the hunt through various shoe shops and struck gold for Nicki at Dolcis where she picked up a new pair of black boots.

As we left we spotted Bay Trading Company opposite so thought we'd see what they had to offer, and it was here I had my other bit of luck for the day. I spotted a really cute short white anorak with a fur lined hood which at £17 I couldn't resist it even if it is probably a touch young for me. Next off to M&S as Nicki needed a couple of extra bras. I sat outside the changing room whilst she had a fitting. Having checked out Debenhams (lovely stuff but so expensive) we ended up and New Look which was where Nicki got her final pair of boots for the day - tan ones this time. By now both of us had sore feet so we headed for home.

After dinner it was time for some fun. Firstly I wanted to see how I looked in my Chinese dress with my hair up and using a clip on extension that I bought a while back. I decided to go for a bit of a tarty look too ! We really did have a lot of fun with this and took loads of pictures. Click here for a gallery.
Then we thought it would be fun for me to try the thigh boots that we bought at Hayway earlier in the month. I had bought my leather outfit along to go with them. These boots are a real squeeze for me (and took fifteen minutes for me and Nicki to get me into them) but I really did enjoy wearing them. And again we took loads of pictures.
